Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our service team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair, diagnostics, and maintenance, with experience working on a variety of vehicle makes and models. Candidates with dealership experience and expertise in modern automotive systems are highly preferred. The position involves performing routine maintenance, complex repairs, and troubleshooting to ensure customer satisfaction and vehicle safety.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on various vehicle components including engines, transmissions, powertrain systems, suspension, alignment, brakes, shocks & struts, and tire services.
- Repair or replace diesel engines, ADAS systems, air brakes, and other specialized components as needed.
- Execute oil changes, fluid replacements, and routine maintenance tasks to prolong vehicle lifespan.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for repairs such as welding, auto body work, and mechanical adjustments.
- Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex issues efficiently.
- Conduct vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Experience
- Proven experience as an automotive mechanic with dealership or independent shop background preferred.
- Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, electrical systems, transmissions, powertrain components, suspension systems, and brake repair.
- Familiarity with GM vehicles is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Experience working with diesel engines and auto body repair is a plus.
- Ability to read schematics and use diagnostic software effectively.
- Hands-on experience with vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, shocks & struts replacement.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other automotive repair tools.
- Excellent mechanical knowledge combined with good customer service skills is essential for success in this role.
