Community School Director

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Community Director to oversee the operations and development of our school community in our Far Rockaway Location. The Community Director will be responsible for creating a positive and engaging environment for residents, promoting community involvement, and ensuring the overall success of the community. Candidates from the Far Rockaway area are preferred.

Responsibilities:

- Work within the school building to supervise and educate staff members and students on community engagement, policies, procedures, and best practices

- Provide senior leadership and guidance to staff members, fostering a positive work culture

- Develop and implement programs and initiatives to enhance the quality of life for students

- Coordinate and facilitate community events, workshops, and activities

- Serve as a public speaker and representative of the community at meetings and events

- Collaborate with local organizations and businesses to build partnerships and enhance community resources

- Manage the school budget, including monitoring expenses and revenue generation

- Conduct strategic planning to identify areas for improvement and growth within the school and community

- Oversee fundraising efforts to support community initiatives

- Provide leadership in resolving conflicts or issues within the student population

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Education Administration, or related field preferred

- Proven experience in supervising staff members in an educational or community setting

- Strong ability to educate, motivate, and inspire others

- Excellent public speaking and presentation skills

- Proficient in budgeting and financial management

- Strategic planning experience to drive growth and development

- Demonstrated success in fundraising initiatives

- Strong leadership skills with the ability to build relationships with diverse groups of people
