Summary:
The SVP of Accounting will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and will demonstrate expertise in both a hands-on environment and have the ability to effectively lead diverse accounting teams in monitoring the financial health of the organization. The ideal candidate will be an subject matter expert in accounting functions, regulation, tax law compliance & Monitoring. Understanding and ability to provide input in the strategic planning alongside FP&A department for long term financial success.

Responsibilities:
- Ensure all financial data adheres to current tax laws and regulations
- Regularly examine financial statements and ensure accuracy
- Recruit, manage, and oversee all accounting departments; collaborate with other accounting managers
- Keep company accounts information confidential
- Act as a liaison to outside auditors
- Represent the accounting department at board meetings
- Overseeing tax compliance, conformity with all federal, state, local and corporate laws, and policies
- Organize and update financial records; monitor all bookkeeping
- Stay abreast of industry changes and current tax/accounting laws
- Prepare, manage and present monthly reports
- Assemble summary financial statements and prepare documents for annual financial review
- Regularly examine financial statements and ensure they are accurate and free of any errors
- Managing financial reports, overseeing quarterly financial report issuance and other documents (Including Proxy with collaboration with in-house legal)
- Prepares financial statements and reports to help interpret a company's financial position
- Direct a monthly closing procedure and manage various accounting procedures
- Managing ledger and financial accounts
- Project manage quarterly review and annual audits, address errors and correct inconsistencies
- Monitor the general ledger accounting for compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), other industry best practices and company guidelines
- Assist FP&A with providing inputs on long-range strategic financial planning
- Manages capital assets, including tax planning and compliance
- Create accounting strategies to maximize profits
- Analyze accounts and suggest improvements to reduce costs and increase profits
- Develop cost control systems and evaluate current accounting practices with a mindset of improvement
- Prepare company for SOX compliance

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, Master's Degree preferred
- CPA Certification; Continuing Professional Education (CPE) requirements
- 10 years’ experience in a Senior Accounting role
- 5 years of experience in a senior Accounting/Finance leadership experience
- Public Accounting experience (Big 4 preferred)
- Skilled in Microsoft suite; proficient in complex accounting systems
- NetSuite experience a plus
- Highly skilled in budgeting and bookkeeping
- Excellent financial and analytical abilities
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrates expertise in accounting functions, regulation, tax law compliance and monitoring.
- Strong proficiency in business management software and experience in information technology to help optimize accounting department daily work.
- Uses communication skills to help them manage an entire department, coordinate with team and file financial reports.
- Has the ability to delegate tasks and motivate employees
- Able to lead accounting teams in monitoring the financial health of an organization.
- Understands strategic planning to help companies set and achieve financial goals.

Salary : $250,000 - $300,000
