The Opportunity
This Accounting Manager role is ideal someone who is ready to step into an in-house leadership role and make a tangible impact. The position goes beyond maintaining the status quo — it’s designed for someone who can strengthen processes, improve visibility, and help build a scalable accounting function as the company grows.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage the monthly close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
- Review and strengthen accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Partner with leadership to improve reporting accuracy, timeliness, and insight
- Identify and implement process improvements to support efficiency and scalability
- Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors and advisors
- Mentor and develop junior accounting staff
- Support ad hoc projects related to system enhancements, growth initiatives, and operational improvements
Ideal Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA strongly preferred or in progress)
- Public accounting experience required (Big 4 or strong regional firm preferred)
- 3 years of progressive accounting experience, with exposure to audit, complex accounting, and financial reporting
- Experience transitioning from public accounting into industry or readiness to do so
- Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls
