Pacific Ranger District Recreation Site Janitorial Technician
Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour
Job Type: Part-time, Seasonal (May – October)
Schedule: 2–4 days per week depending on route needs
Hours per Day: 3–6 hours
Hours per Week: 10–25 hours depending on cleaning frequency & assigned sites
Contingent Upon Contract Award: Yes — this position will begin only if Xplicit Technologies, LLC is awarded the federal contract.
About the Position
Xplicit Technologies, LLC is seeking reliable, self-motivated Seasonal Janitorial Technicians to service multiple recreation site restrooms throughout the Pacific Ranger District of the Eldorado National Forest. These facilities are located across the Crystal Basin recreation area including campgrounds, trailheads, boat ramps, and lookouts.
This role is ideal for applicants who enjoy working independently, being outdoors, and supporting public lands.

(You will not service all sites; assignments will be based on route grouping.)
Scope of Work / Duties
As outlined in the federal Statement of Work for ENF Recreation Site Janitorial Services
your responsibilities will include:
Restroom Cleaning (Every Visit)
- Clean floors, walls, ceilings, toilet risers, seats, and lids
- Remove cobwebs and debris
- Disinfect all touch surfaces
- Kill insects and apply deodorizer (per govt-approved products)
- Stock toilet paper and maintain holders correctly
- Check and clean a 10-foot radius around each restroom building
- Remove graffiti when necessary
- Document time of service on log sheets
Trash & Refuse
- Empty trash receptacles where present
- Replace liners
- Clean cans as needed for odor control
- Transport bagged trash to approved landfill/disposal sites
- Notify COR if a dumpster needs service
Travel Requirements
- Driving between sites on forest roads (paved & unpaved)
- Must have your own dependable vehicle
- Mileage may be reimbursed depending on contract terms
Frequency of Cleanings
Frequency varies by site and season and may include:
- Once weekly up to 3–4 times weekly depending on visitation levels
- Most sites require 36–48 total cleanings per season
- Cleaning visits typically take 30 minutes per toilet plus travel time
Position Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work independently in remote forest locations
- Ability to lift 30–40 lbs (supplies, trash bags, equipment)
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to follow federal cleaning and safety standards
- Smartphone required for reporting/documentation
Work Season
May 1 – October 31 (Start and end may vary slightly based on weather and site access.)
Compensation
- $20.00 per hour
- Paid biweekly
- Contractor-provided supplies & PPE
- Mileage considerations may be included depending on award terms
Important – Contingent Hiring Notice
This position is contingent upon Xplicit Technologies, LLC being awarded the U.S. Forest Service contract for Eldorado National Forest Recreation Site Janitorial Services (Solicitation 127EAS25Q0048). If awarded, work will begin at the start of the 2025 operating season.
