Overview

Xpert Security Consultants is seeking professional, dependable, and customer-focused Nightlife Security Officers to provide a safe and secure environment for clients, employees, and guests at nightlife venues and private events throughout Kentucky.

You will be responsible for maintaining a visible security presence, monitoring guest behavior, preventing disturbances, enforcing venue policies, and responding appropriately to incidents while maintaining professionalism and excellent customer service.

Nightlife Security Officers represent both Xpert Security Consultants and our clients. Professional appearance, sound judgment, and effective communication are essential.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide a highly visible security presence.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and designated security areas.
• Verify guest identification and age when required.
• Control guest access and occupancy limits.
• Conduct bag inspections or security screenings when authorized.
• Monitor crowds for suspicious or disruptive behavior.
• Enforce venue policies professionally and consistently.
• De-escalate verbal conflicts before they become physical.
• Remove disruptive or trespassed individuals when authorized.
• Respond to fights, disturbances, medical emergencies, and other incidents.
• Complete accurate Incident Reports before the end of each shift.
• Work closely with venue management, event staff, EMS, and law enforcement when necessary.
• Protect client property from theft, damage, or unauthorized access.
• Maintain radio communication with supervisors and fellow officers.
• Perform routine patrols throughout assigned venues.
• Report all hazards and safety concerns immediately.
• Assist with emergency evacuations when required.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding clients, guests, and company operations.
• Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a professional security presence.

Job Requirements

Applicants should possess:

• Minimum age of 18 years old
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Reliable transportation
• Valid government-issued identification
• Working cell phone with email access
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and special events
• Excellent communication skills
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Ability to remain calm under pressure
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds when necessary
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to make sound decisions in stressful situations

Preferred Qualifications

Preference may be given to applicants with:

• Previous security experience
• Nightclub or bar security experience
• Event security experience
• Military experience
• Law enforcement background
• Corrections experience
• CPR/AED Certification
• First Aid Certification
• De-escalation or Crisis Intervention Training
• TIPS or Responsible Alcohol Service Certification

Work environments are often fast-paced, loud, crowded, and require constant awareness.

Nightlife Security Officers are expected to:

• Arrive on time for every assignment.
• Wear the approved uniform and maintain a professional appearance.
• Treat all guests with courtesy and respect.
• Follow all company policies and client procedures.
• Avoid unnecessary confrontation.
• Use only the amount of force that is legally justified and authorized.
• Maintain confidentiality.
• Complete all required reports before leaving the assignment.

Contractors are responsible for:

• Their own federal, state, and local taxes.
• Maintaining any required certifications or licenses.
• Providing accurate tax information.

Nothing in this position creates an employer-employee relationship. Assignments are offered based on operational needs, client contracts, contractor availability, and performance.

Compensation

• Nightlife Security Officer: $15.00–$25.00/hour*
