Job Summary
XP Climate Control is a small business that manufacturers Explosion Proof Climate Control Systems for hazardous environments. We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled AutoCAD Drafter to join our HVAC design team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating precise technical drawings and schematics for custom HVAC system design. This role requires proficiency in CAD software and a strong understanding of mechanical design, construction documentation, and drafting standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed 2D drawings, schematics, and plans using AutoCAD and other CAD software tools.
- Create and modify designs for civil, mechanical, or architectural projects based on provided specifications.
- Prepare construction documents, layouts, and technical schematics with precision and adherence to industry standards.
- Collaborate with engineers and architects to review drawings for accuracy and completeness.
- Assist in the development of 3D models and visualizations, including 2D animation when applicable.
- Ensure all drawings comply with safety regulations, building codes, and client specifications.
- Maintain organized digital files of all drafts and revisions for easy access and version control.
- Writing related technical documents such as material lists and cost estimates.
Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential.
- Knowledge of HVAC Systems.
- Strong knowledge of drafting standards, schematics creation, and construction documentation processes.
- Ability to interpret technical sketches, blueprints, and mechanical designs accurately.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on precision in technical drawings.
- Familiarity with CAD software integration across multiple platforms for comprehensive project support.
- Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Knowledge of industry-specific software tools related to civil engineering, architecture, or mechanical design enhances suitability for this role.

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
