Looking for Mechanical Engineer II in Atlanta GA(Hybrid role)
Candidate must be based in the Atlanta area and able to work in the office at least 3 days per week, preferably 4 days per week.
Job description and requirements:
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide mechanical engineering support for the Mobile UCI production rollout.
- Create and modify CAD designs and technical drawings as production needs evolve.
- Coordinate with suppliers to procure and manufacture parts.
- Identify and qualify new suppliers for components such as gaskets, wiring, and other mechanical parts.
- Assist with environmental testing activities.
- Establish inventory structures for new parts and assemblies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production and assembly issues, including travel to assembly locations such as GTS in Marietta as needed.
Qualifications
Education / Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or similar field with 2 years of experience; OR
- Associate degree, technical certifications (machinist, CNC operator, etc.) with 2 years of experience; OR
- 5 years of relevant mechanical engineering experience.
- We are also very interested in candidates with hands-on machining experience who use Fusion 360, SolidWorks, or similar CAD tools and are looking to transition into a broader engineering role.
Required Skills
- 3D CAD design experience using Autodesk Fusion 360, SolidWorks, or similar tools.
- Technical drawing creation and interpretation.
- Knowledge of tolerancing practices.
Preferred Skills
- Experience designing electronics enclosures.
- Familiarity with GD&T concepts.
Location & Travel
- During peak production periods, on-site presence could be required up to 5 days per week.
- Ability to travel to assembly and production locations as needed.
Salary : $60 - $80
