With decades of experience in thermal management solutions engineering and manufacturing, XNRGY is uniquely qualified to deliver innovative and energy-efficient solutions that meet the specific needs of a wide range of industries, including hyperscale and modular data centers, healthcare facilities, pharmaceutical labs, semiconductor clean rooms, EV battery manufacturers and life sciences facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and govern supplier packaging standards for large fabricated components, assemblies, and finished products to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective transportation, storage, and manufacturing operations.
• Partner with suppliers, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to design packaging solutions that support Lean Manufacturing principles, including reduced unpacking time, point-of-use presentation, improved line-side delivery, and elimination of non-value-added handling.
• Standardize packaging requirements for racks, skids, pallets, dunnage, labeling, lifting features, stackability, and ergonomic handling across the supplier network.
• Lead the design, development, testing, and validation of packaging solutions through transportation and handling simulations, including vibration, shock, compression, stack load, environmental exposure, and distribution testing to ensure product protection and packaging robustness.
• Drive packaging optimization initiatives that maximize trailer, container, and warehouse space utilization, reduce logistics costs, improve inventory density, and eliminate wasted space throughout the supply chain.
• Lead supplier packaging reviews, approvals, audits, and corrective actions to ensure compliance with company standards and continuous improvement objectives.
• Develop returnable packaging and rack strategies that improve material flow, reduce waste, support sustainability goals, and enable scalable manufacturing growth.
• Improve safety and ergonomics by incorporating appropriate lifting, handling, storage, and presentation methods that minimize manual intervention, reduce risk of injury, and prevent product damage during transportation, receiving, and production operations.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 8 years of experience in packaging engineering, material flow, manufacturing engineering, or logistics engineering within automotive, HVAC, industrial equipment, aerospace, or other heavy manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, supplier development, logistics optimization, ergonomics, material handling systems, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Demonstrated experience developing and deploying supplier packaging standards for large and complex components.
• Experience with transportation testing standards (ISTA, ASTM, ISO) and packaging validation methodologies.
• Expertise in returnable packaging systems, custom racks, and line-side material delivery strategies.
• Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, and supplier quality processes.
  
  

This version positions the role as the owner of supplier packaging standards and lean material flow, while also including responsibility for testing and validation, which is critical for large parts where vibration, shock, stacking, and handling damage can become significant cost and quality issues.
