As part of this expansion in the US, XNRGY is seeking a qualified Lead Electrical Engineer to join its team. Reporting to the Systems Engineering Director, the Lead Electrical Engineer will be responsible for leading electrical engineering aspects of the Air-side product line. This includes electrical load calculations, designing power distribution systems and electrical panels, developing electrical drawings, and preparing Bills of Material documentation. The Lead Electrical Engineer will also serve as a subject matter expert, supporting cross-functional teams and engaging with customers and suppliers to ensure technical excellence.
An overview of your responsibilities:
Technical Expertise & Design
- Act as the electrical expert for the Air-side product line.
- Lead the electrical technical aspects of every project within the product line.
- Perform load calculations to size electrical panels and protective components.
- Design power distribution systems and electrical panels for Air Handling Units (AHUs).
- Develop single line diagrams, control schematics, power distribution electrical drawings, and Bills of Materials.
- Lead standard electrical component selection in collaboration with the procurement team.
Collaboration & Support
- Provide technical support to sales, application engineering, production, and service teams.
- Work closely with sales and/or customers to ensure compatibility with design intent.
- Attend meetings with customers and suppliers as needed.
- Support application engineering as a subject matter expert (SME).
- Assist in preparing technical presentations to support the sales department.
Leadership & Training
- Lead the electrical submittal process and ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Act as the technical lead for development programs within the product line.
- Train designers and drafters assigned to projects within the Air-side product line.
Process & Tool Development
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of air handling unit designs.
- Create and maintain a library of programs used in various HVAC product lines.
- Improve company tools and resources for electrical design and engineering.
- Ensure NEC and UL compliance and certification across electrical systems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an electrical engineer; 10 years preferred.
- Experience with CRAH (Computer Room Air Handler) electrical equipment design preferred.
- Expertise with NEC and UL compliance and certification standards.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SEE Electrical, or other electrical drafting software.
- Experience sizing, developing specifications, and reviewing fabrication drawings of low- and medium-voltage systems.
- Experience with variable frequency drives, harmonic filters, and power monitoring.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
