Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial and commercial electrical systems, with experience working on construction sites and reading blueprints. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in various settings, ensuring compliance with safety standards and electrical codes. The Electrician will play a vital role in supporting our projects by applying technical expertise and safety practices to deliver high-quality work efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in industrial, commercial, and construction environments
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute electrical work
- Use hand tools, power tools, multimeters (ohmmeters), ammeters, and other testing devices to diagnose issues and ensure proper functioning of electrical systems
- Work with low voltage and high voltage electrical systems following NEC (National Electrical Code) standards
- Perform wiring for low voltage systems such as alarms, security systems, or communication lines
- Assist with construction tasks including frame carpentry as needed for electrical installations
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and OSHA regulations
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other trades to complete projects on time and within scope
Experience
- Proven experience as an electrician in residential and commercial settings is highly preferred
- Construction site experience demonstrating the ability to work safely in dynamic environments
- Skilled in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical documentation
- Proficiency with hand tools (e.g., screwdrivers, pliers), power tools (e.g., drills), and testing instruments (ohmmeters, ammeters)
- Knowledge of low voltage and high voltage electrical systems complying with NEC standards
- Experience working with construction teams on-site during various phases of building projects
- Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues efficiently using diagnostic tools
