What are the responsibilities and job description for the Systems Engineer position at XMSTART?
XMSTART is always looking to add experienced and strategic full-time Systems Engineers to our team, in Chantilly, VA or Washington, DC. These positions are 100% onsite.
Security Clearance Requirements:
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph is required
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
Qualifications:
- Technical experience with Intelligence Community (IC) analytic tools
- Familiarity with system development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Experience with systems integration and configuration
- Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python, Java) and scripting
- Proficiency in operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux) and network protocols
Responsibilities:
System Design and Development
- Analyze user needs and system requirements
- Develop system architectures and specifications
- Integrate hardware and software components to create functional systems
System Implementation
- Install, configure, and test system components
- Develop and maintain documentation, such as technical specifications and user manuals
- Ensure compatibility and interoperability of systems
System Maintenance and Optimization
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues
- Implement updates, patches, and upgrades as needed
- Optimize system processes to improve efficiency and reliability
Collaboration and Communication
- Work with cross-functional teams, including developers, network engineers, and project managers
- Communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Provide training and support to end-users
Compliance and Security
- Ensure systems comply with industry standards and organizational policies
- Implement security measures to protect system integrity and data
