Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 annually (DOE)

Position Summary

XL Pro Staffing & Consulting is seeking a Safety Coordinator to support the HSE Manager in the Houston area. This role is ideal for a safety professional looking to grow within Environmental Health & Safety while gaining hands-on experience supporting multiple client locations.

The Safety Coordinator will focus on injury reporting, workers' compensation claim support, incident investigations, OSHA documentation, and safety compliance. Working directly with the HSE Manager, this individual will serve as a key resource for employees, supervisors, medical providers, insurance carriers, and client representatives throughout the injury management and safety process.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, process, and document employee injury and illness reports.
• Coordinate post-accident drug and alcohol testing when required.
• Maintain communication with injured employees regarding work status and return-to-work documentation.
• Ensure timely submission of workers' compensation and injury documentation.
• Maintain OSHA 300, 300A, and 301 logs and confidential medical records.
• Assist with workplace incident investigations, including witness statements, documentation, and root cause analysis.
• Track corrective actions through completion and prepare incident summaries for management.
• Support the HSE Manager with safety meetings, toolbox talks, training, and compliance initiatives.
• Maintain safety records, employee certifications, and training documentation.
• Monitor compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
• Assist with new hire safety orientation and ongoing employee safety training.
• Prepare reports and provide administrative support for safety operations.
• Travel to client locations as needed to support safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of construction experience required.
• OSHA 30 Certification (Construction or General Industry) required.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to travel throughout Texas as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with workers' compensation and injury reporting.
• Experience supporting multiple client locations or staffing environments.
• Knowledge of OSHA compliance and safety regulations.
• Construction and/or general industry safety experience preferred.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
