Location: Plainfield, IN 46168
Pay: $25/hour | Full-Time
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Position Summary
The Industrial Equipment Maintenance Technician is the primary on-site maintenance resource, responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining warehouse equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted operations. This role serves as the go-to technician for resolving mechanical, electrical, and operational issues across facility systems and material handling equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and adjustments on warehouse equipment and systems
- Act as the first point of contact for equipment breakdowns and urgent issues
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Maintain and repair balers, forklifts, conveyors, compactors, dock equipment, and other MHE
- Conduct routine inspections to prevent downtime
- Coordinate with vendors for specialized repairs
- Maintain accurate logs and work orders in CMMS
- Support warehouse operations with timely maintenance response
- Assist with equipment installation and relocation
- Maintain tools, parts inventory, and a clean work area
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification preferred
- 2 years of industrial maintenance experience (warehouse or waste management preferred)
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Experience with material handling equipment (balers, forklifts, conveyors, etc.)
- Familiarity with CMMS systems is a plus
- Ability to read schematics and electrical diagrams
- Able to lift 50 lbs and work at heights as needed
- Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled environment
- Willingness to be on-call or work flexible shifts as needed
