XL Fire Protection is a leader in the design, installation, repair, and testing of fire sprinkler systems. We specialize in a variety of projects including hotels, hospitals, schools, warehouses, high-rise buildings, shopping malls, stadiums and more. Due to demand and growth in our service, we are looking to add a Project Manager to the team!
The Project Manager will be required to coordinate and deliver fire sprinkler projects of various complexities in new and active facilities. The Project Manager has fiscal responsibility for all project facets, including project billing, job cost reporting, and overall customer satisfaction.

As a Project Manager, you will:
- Review and establish project intent through project-specific documents, specifications, and drawings; develop and maintain a project schedule, coordinating needs with the project team, and identifying time-sensitive installation needs
- Manage financials, requisition of supplies and materials, project cost reviews, and backlog to ensure favorable monthly billings; coordinate project-specific billing with Management.
- Review construction plans, requirements, drawings, and specifications; provide the necessary documentation, manage and coordinate subcontractors, track resources and project progress, pursue change-order opportunities.
- Complete project-specific close-out documentation, expedite the return of mark-ups for as-built development, maintain sprinkler systems during installation, migration, or replacement, and professionally represent the company to the owner or owner’s representative throughout the project
- Adhere to local, corporate, and OSHA safety policies and procedures; report unsafe conditions and actions, and effectively manage and coordinate subcontractors to meet scope, scheduling, and financial requirements
- Work in a team environment while developing positive and ongoing relationships with Customers to ensure 100% satisfaction.
You will make an impact with these qualifications:
- High School Diploma or state-recognized GED
- 5 years of technical experience in the commercial Sprinkler industry
- Project management, engineering internship, or related work experience
- Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings, project specifications, sprinkler system design drawings, and applicable NFPA codes and standards.
- Highly proficient in the use of personal computers including Microsoft Office Applications, Adobe, Bluebeam, etc.
- Self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed.
- Proven ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
- Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations
