You’ll be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive budgets and proposals, analyzing project documents, and working closely with both internal teams and clients to ensure clarity, precision, and value in every bid.This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong foundation in rough carpentry and mass timber erection who thrives in a collaborative environment and is ready to bring strategic insight, detailed analysis, and technical know-how to a growing, dynamic team.Key Responsibilities: Analyze architectural and structural drawings, specifications, and bid documents to identify scope and develop detailed estimates. Prepare complete and accurate lump sum proposals, bid forms, and scope breakdowns. Track and manage bid opportunities, project timelines, and follow-up actions using internal tools. Collaborate with clients to confirm scope, address constructability issues, and provide insight into current market conditions and bid strategy. Maintain and improve internal cost databases, productivity benchmarks, assemblies, and pricing systems. Provide creative, cost-effective solutions that support client goals and project efficiency. Perform constructability reviews and propose alternative means and methods as appropriate. Support preconstruction efforts across multiple pursuits and team initiatives. Understand and evaluate risk associated with contract terms, insurance requirements, and project-specific factors. Represent Elevated Construction Services with professionalism, technical credibility, and a solutions-oriented mindset. Qualifications: 10-15+ years of estimating experience in commercial construction, with a focus on carpentry and specialty scopes. Strong knowledge of rough carpentry and/or mass timber, and general construction methods. Proficient in material takeoffs using Bluebeam or On-Screen Takeoff (OST). Experience with Timberline (or equivalent estimating software). Familiarity with construction unit cost systems and cost planning best practices. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong business acumen and a detail-oriented, proactive approach to problem-solving. Position Details: Location: Hybrid role 3 days in Milpitas, 2 days remote Employment Type: Full-time Compensation & Pay Transparency (California):In accordance with California’s pay transparency regulations, the base salary range for this position is $140,000 – $220,000 annually, based on experience, qualifications, and skills.This position is also eligible for additional incentives and comes with a comprehensive benefits package including: Medical, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) with company match Paid time off Professional development and continuing education support
