Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and closing of construction projects, ensuring adherence to project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Coordinate project schedules using project management software to optimize timelines and resource allocation.
- Manage teams on-site and off-site, including subcontractors, vendors, and internal staff, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
- Oversee construction site activities to ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and environmental standards.
- Review construction plans, blueprints, and specifications to verify accuracy and feasibility before implementation.
- Monitor project costs through construction estimating tools
- Manage contracts, change orders, and procurement processes utilizing Prolog or similar contract management systems.
- Ensure construction regulatory compliance by staying updated on local laws and industry standards.
- Facilitate project scheduling coordination with stakeholders to meet critical deadlines.
- Conduct regular site inspections, progress meetings, and quality control checks to uphold high standards of workmanship.
- Prepare detailed reports on project status, risks, and issues for executive review.
- Implement effective time management strategies across all phases of the project lifecycle.
Experience
- Proven 5-10 years experience managing large-scale civil or commercial construction projects with a focus on infrastructure development or complex facilities.
- Extensive knowledge of construction management software such as Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project).
- Strong background in construction estimating, cost management, project scheduling, and budget oversight.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple teams in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Hands-on experience with construction site operations including safety protocols, regulatory compliance, blueprint reading, and construction plans review.
- Familiarity with managing contracts and navigating construction regulations at local or national levels.
- Excellent communication skills for effective project coordination among clients, contractors, vendors, and internal teams.
- Ability to read technical drawings to infrastructure projects.
