Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of boba tea drinks, including smoothies, teas, and specialty beverages, following established recipes and quality standards
- Operate Toast systems to process transactions accurately and efficiently
- Manage multiple orders simultaneously while maintaining excellent customer service and positive interactions
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café workspace, including food handling areas and equipment sanitation
- Ensure food safety protocols are followed consistently to uphold health standards
- Assist with inventory management by restocking supplies and monitoring product freshness
- Provide friendly, attentive service to all customers, addressing questions about menu items and making personalized recommendations
Skills
- Proven experience as a barista or in food service, with a strong understanding of coffee preparation and beverage crafting
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently without compromising quality or customer experience
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to connect positively with diverse guests
- Knowledge of food safety standards, proper food handling, and basic math for cash handling and retail math calculations
- Ability to work quickly in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Previous experience with serving or food industry roles is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is essential
