About the Role:
The Sr. Software Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring software quality across XiFin's portfolio of healthcare products and applications. You will execute QA strategy objectives using XiFin standard processes while serving as a testing expert and mentor for development teams. This role combines hands-on testing expertise with strategic quality leadership to ensure successful delivery of robust, high-quality software solutions to our healthcare customers.
This role requires an exceptional communicator with strong relationships and collaboration building skills. You are organized, detail oriented, flexible, and can adapt to a rapidly changing environment while maintaining focus on quality excellence.
How you will make an impact:
- Evaluate testability and provide feedback on requirements and design documents
- Lead quality from design to delivery to improve test coverage, defect detection, prevention, and system reliability.
- Design comprehensive manual and automated test plans, execute planned testing, develop API regression suites, and identify risks for complex enterprise applications
- Drive methods and metrics for test effectiveness to achieve higher product quality
- Advocate quality engineering best practices to promote quality upstream
- Develop scalable, reusable UI and API test scenarios using Postman (or similar tools) that effectively test legacy and new development
- Collaborate with automation teams to create effective and scalable QA automation strategies
- Develop non-functional testing, as needed
- Serve as quality advocate and subject matter expert across various product lines within a Scrum team.
- Contribute to creation and execution of release plans, effectively managing risks and issues
- Drive quality innovation of new technologies, testing tools, processes and automation solutions
This is an onsite position at our office in Dallas, TX.
Skills and experience you have:
You don’t need to check every box. We will consider a combination of education and experience, including:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or other Engineering related field
- 5 years of proven experience in software testing or quality engineering for large-scale, complex architectures
- Strong experience in developing reliable and scalable UI, API manual and test automation using tools and frameworks such as REST Assured, Postman (or similar)
- Proficient in programming and scripting languages (Java, JavaScript, Python, Groovy, or other OOP) for test automation
- Proficiency in Jira, Bitbucket, GitHub, GitHub actions, Zephyr Scale and Jenkins.
- Knowledge of SQL and application/database integration with ability to write complex SQL queries
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and their application in delivery processes
- Demonstrated leadership and analytical skills with ability to mentor others
- Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks in time-critical situations
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Healthcare or pharmacy industry experience
- ISTQB Foundation Level (CTFL) certification or equivalent
- Experience with healthcare integration and regulatory compliance testing

Pay Transparency
At XiFin, we believe in pay transparency and fairness. The expected range for this role is $110,000-$135,000 annual compensation. Final compensation will be determined based upon experience and skills during the selection process and may vary accordingly.
