Barista Job Description (Base Pay - $14.00 Tips= [~$15-$18])
Duties:
- Boba Barista responsibilities include educating customers on our drinks menu, making recommendations based on their preferences, up-selling special items on menu
- Give customers drink menus and answer their questions regarding ingredients
- Take orders while paying attention to details (i.e. preferences of tea blend, dairy and sugar ratios)
- Prepare beverages following recipes
- Customer service skills and knowledge of how brewing equipment operates.
- You should be able to work various weekday shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Prepare and serve a wide range of tea beverages
- Take & PACK customer TOGO orders and provide recommendations based on their preference
- Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in food handling and preparation
- Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed
- Provide friendly and efficient customer service, ensuring customer satisfaction
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of retail math for cash handling purposes
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Familiarity with operating a cash register and handling cash transactions
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of food handling and safety regulations
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members
