Position Overview
We are seeking reliable and dedicated Substitute Teachers to support daily classroom instruction in the absence of regular teaching staff. This position works under the supervision of the school’s administrative team and plays a key role in maintaining a positive, structured, and safe learning environment for students.
Key Responsibilities
- Report to the school office upon arrival and before leaving each day
- Follow lesson plans and daily schedules provided by the classroom teacher
- Take on all responsibilities of the absent teacher or educational assistant, which may include:
- Classroom instruction
- Lunchroom, hall, or bus duty
- Additional tasks assigned by school administration
- Review emergency procedures and student medical needs as outlined in the classroom’s substitute folder
- Maintain normal classroom routines and ensure a productive learning environment
- Supervise students at all times and manage behavior according to school policies
- Report major disciplinary issues to the building administrator immediately
- Maintain confidentiality regarding all student information and interactions
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED (Required)
- Two years of college or a Bachelor’s degree (Preferred)
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary, Contract
Pay: $13.00 - $18.00 per hour
