Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support and counseling to individuals and families facing various challenges. Duties
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine clients' needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions utilizing various therapeutic techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and motivational interviewing.
- Facilitate crisis intervention services for clients in distress, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and resources for clients, including case management and community referrals.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, including intake forms, progress notes, and treatment plans.
- Engage in clinical research activities to enhance service delivery and improve client outcomes.
- Provide support for families dealing with children with developmental disabilities or special education needs.
- Offer addiction counseling services as needed, addressing substance use issues among clients.
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in social work.
Skills
- Proficiency in psychotherapy techniques including behavioral therapy, crisis management, and PTSD care.
- Experience working with children and families, particularly in home and community care settings.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems for efficient documentation and data collection.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9 & ICD-10), CPT coding, and the ability to navigate medical records effectively.
- Strong skills in diagnostic evaluation, patient assessment, and providing patient care tailored to individual needs.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations including individuals with autism or other disabilities.
- Experience in geriatrics or Alzheimer’s care is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
