About the Role
xFigura is an AI-native design platform used by leading architecture firms, designers, and universities worldwide. We're looking for a Founding Engineer to work directly with the CEO and Head of R&D on the core systems that power everything.
The work is foundational: orchestrating generative models, building collaborative canvas tooling, integrating with CAD ecosystems, and shaping platform architecture for the next phase of scale. We have production usage and enterprise adoption. What comes next is expanding capability, performance, and infrastructure.
You'll own systems end-to-end, from concept through deployment, translating real architectural workflows into scalable software. You'll also influence engineering culture, hiring standards, and technical direction from day one.
Key Focus Areas
- AI orchestration across 60 generative models
- Infinite canvas collaboration and creative tooling
- CAD integrations (Rhino, Speckle, Revit)
- Enterprise knowledge and agent-driven retrieval systems
What You'll Do
- Build and ship features and systems end-to-end
- Architect scalable frontend and backend infrastructure
- Develop AI workflow orchestration pipelines
- Build canvas tooling and integrations with design software
- Work directly with users to translate workflows into systems
- Drive technical decisions that shape how the platform evolves
- Help define the engineering hiring bar and team culture
What We're Looking For
- Track record shipping full production systems end-to-end
- Strong full-stack engineering skills
- Production experience with AI/ML systems
- Highly effective use of AI development tools
- Comfort with autonomy and ambiguity
- Clear communicator and strong problem-solver
Nice to Have
- Real-time or collaborative system experience
- Canvas or node-based UI work
- API and compute pipeline integration
- Exposure to CAD/BIM or AEC workflows
- Cloud infrastructure experience
- Early-stage startup background
