This is a client-facing position where you will handle both onsite and remote service requests across a wide range of technologies. You will work directly with servers, networks, security systems, virtual environments, and end-user devices, playing a critical role in keeping our clients’ IT environments running smoothly.
What You Will Do Day-to-Day
You will be responsible for delivering technical support and project implementation for our clients, including:
- Desktop Support: Troubleshoot and resolve issues with Windows and macOS workstations, printers, mobile devices, and end-user applications.
- Server and Application Support: Troubleshoot Microsoft business applications, Windows Server environments, and virtual environments built on Microsoft and VMware.
- Microsoft Technologies: Provide support for Exchange, SQL, SharePoint, and related services.
- Network Engineering: Configure and maintain WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and security systems.
- Remote Access: Implement and support VPN, Terminal Services, and VDI solutions.
- Disaster Recovery: Deploy and manage backup and recovery solutions to protect client data.
- Cloud and Hosted Services: Administer hosted and cloud solutions to meet client requirements.
- Monitoring and Response: Use RMM tools to monitor system alerts and respond to service tickets.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate system documentation, conduct reviews, and provide technical recommendations.
- Client Communication: Keep customers informed of progress, upcoming changes, and outages.
- Collaborate with other engineers on escalated or complex issues.
- Escalate service issues that cannot be resolved within agreed service levels.
- Develop in-depth knowledge of client environments, business strategies, and how IT supports their goals.
- Document internal processes and procedures for consistency.
- Stay up to date on emerging technologies by reviewing industry materials and training resources.
- Enter all work accurately into the ticketing system, including time and expenses.
- Follow and improve service desk processes to ensure client satisfaction.

- Anticipate and prevent issues by proactively monitoring systems.
- Build strong relationships with clients through clear communication and follow-through.

We are looking for someone who has:
- Minimum 2 years of IT support or engineering experience.
- Experience supporting both desktops and servers in Windows environments (macOS experience is a plus).
- Strong understanding of Microsoft server environments, VMware, and networking fundamentals.
- Hands-on experience deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting firewalls and other network security appliances.
- Familiarity with disaster recovery and cloud-hosted solutions.
- Professional IT certifications (preferred), such as:
- Microsoft MCP, MCSA, or MCSE
- Cisco CCNA
- VMware VCP
- Sophos or other security vendor certifications
- Adtran ATSA, ATSP, or ATSE
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-moving environment.
- Self-motivation and the ability to learn new technologies through training and independent study.

- Job Type: Full-Time
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, standard business hours
- On-Call: Participation in an on-call emergency support rotation is required
