Xerox Corporation in Webster, NY has immediate openings for Forklift Operators in our fast-paced Toner Manufacturing Plant. We have several full-time openings available. Prior experience driving a forklift is required. This is an entry level position in the Xerox Manufacturing Industrial Workforce. Opportunities for future growth exist with successful completion of qualifying exams.
Job Duties:
Essential Functions:
- Safely operates powered mobile equipment (forklifts, powered lifts, hand trucks, walkie-stackers, etc.)
- Performs warehouse duties to include all types of shipping, receiving, and movement of raw materials, in-process materials, waste streams, parts, supplies, equipment, and finished product.
- Stages and delivers materials and supplies to and from the various processing, storage, and warehouse locations.
- Weighs materials where necessary, completes labels and required records.
- Inspects incoming materials, verifying quantities and identity against reference documentation.
- Inspects finished goods prior to shipment to assure proper labeling and quality.
- Interacts with web-based database system for creating batch identification labels and managing shipments. Utilizes hand-held scanners to generate shipments.
- Interface with robotic palletizing equipment and perform basic troubleshooting to resolve common issues.
- Follows all required Safety procedures.
- Manual material handling activities require lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling of parts and materials up to 50 lbs.
- Must show initiative and be able to handle stressful situations in a demanding production environment.
Job Requirements:
- A High School Diploma or GED required.
- Must be trained and qualified for operation of motorized walking-stackers and forklift vehicles.
- Minimum of 2yrs prior warehouse and forklift/tow motor experience required.
- Must pass a full medical exam regularly.
- Computer Literacy required.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Work cooperatively and safely in a team environment.
