Role Description The Counter Sales & Rental Agent is a full-time, on-site role based in Xenia, OH. This role involves assisting customers at the rental counter with selecting appropriate tools and equipment, preparing rental agreements, and processing payments. The agent will handle reservations, check-outs, and returns, inspect equipment for damage, and ensure items are clean and ready for the next rental. Daily responsibilities include answering phone and in-person inquiries, providing basic operating guidance and safety information, and offering courteous, efficient service to support customer projects. The role also supports inventory organization, coordination of pick-up and delivery orders, and maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming counter and showroom environment.
Qualifications
- Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction skills to provide helpful, friendly support and create positive rental experiences.
- Rental Management and Car Rental experience or familiarity with managing rental agreements, reservations, returns, and related documentation in preferred.
- Strong Communication skills for clear, professional interaction with customers, coworkers, and drivers, both in person and over the phone.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort working around tools and equipment; ability to learn equipment features and safe operation guidelines.
- Reliable time management and organizational skills, with attention to detail when inspecting equipment and processing transactions.
- Ability to stand, walk, and occasionally lift or move equipment within reasonable weight limits as part of daily duties.
- Prior experience in retail, construction, equipment rental, or a related field is preferred but not required.
