We are looking for a seasoned executive leader to serve as Vice President / General Manager for the Materials Division of a leading company in the construction materials sector. This is a critical leadership role with full strategic and operational responsibility for a multi-site regional business.
You will drive overall performance across production, sales, logistics, safety, and profitability while building high-performing teams and delivering sustainable growth in a competitive industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide full P&L ownership for regional operations, delivering strong financial results and operational excellence
- Lead and develop multi-site teams including plant operations, dispatch, production, and support functions
- Develop and execute strategic plans to drive revenue growth, market expansion, and continuous improvement
- Oversee sales and customer relationship efforts with key clients in the construction and development markets
- Champion safety, compliance, quality, and efficiency initiatives across all locations
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, capital projects, and resource optimization
- Build a strong culture of accountability, employee development, and performance
- Partner with corporate leadership on growth initiatives and operational best practices
Qualifications
- 10 years of progressive leadership experience in operations management within the construction materials or related heavy industrial sector
- Proven track record managing multi-site / regional operations with full P&L responsibility
- Strong background in production operations, logistics, sales, and team leadership
- Demonstrated success driving growth, operational improvements, and financial performance.
- Experience leading both union and non-union teams is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Construction Management, or a related field (MBA preferred)
- Excellent communication, negotiation, financial acumen, and people leadership skill
- Willingness to travel regionally as required
