Patient Care Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care including medication administration and management of ventilators, feeding tubes, tracheostomies, and other medical devices- Conduct supervisory visits every two weeks (plus monthly or every 60 days) in patients’ homes
- Monitor and assess the child’s condition and respond to changes in health status
- Perform and document clinical assessments including vital signs, pain management, and overall well-being
- Follow and implement the physician-prescribed care plan
Coordination of Care
Collaborate with physicians, healthcare professionals, and other nurses to ensure comprehensive care- Communicate changes in the child’s condition promptly to the healthcare team
- Maintain accurate documentation including progress notes, medication records, and patient reports
General Responsibilities
Provide supervisory support to parent caregivers- Maintain accurate and detailed reports and patient records
- Administer medications and monitor for reactions or side effects
- Record patient medical information and vital signs
- Monitor and report symptoms or changes in condition
- Adjust treatment plans based on patient responses and clinical assessment
- Assist with examinations and treatments when necessary
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (Preferred)
Requirements
- Active RN License in the State of Georgia
- CPR Certification (Required)
1–2 years of related experience or equivalent training - Strong communication skills and professional demeanor
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
