Key Responsibilities
- Oversee receipt, inspection, sampling, storage, distribution, and inventory control of GMP raw materials and consumables in accordance with SOPs and cGXP requirements.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, including cycle counts, annual reconciliation, material status, consumption, and scrap tracking.
- Coordinate with Quality Control and Quality Assurance to ensure timely sampling, testing, release, and disposition of GMP materials.
- Manage procurement activities and vendor relationships to ensure timely availability of materials and supplies while addressing quality, delivery, and supply issues.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Operations, and production planning teams to support manufacturing campaign planning and materials readiness.
- Monitor internal and third-party inventory supporting Manufacturing and Process Development activities.
- Utilize inventory and materials management systems to maintain accurate material information and provide visibility to cross-functional stakeholders.
- Develop and communicate regular materials and operational readiness reports, including identification of material constraints and potential supply risks.
- Support investigations, corrective and preventive actions, and continuous improvement initiatives related to materials management, inventory, and supply chain activities.
- Partner with QA to ensure materials management processes remain compliant with cGMP and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to cross-functional projects and other company initiatives as business needs evolve.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of Materials Management and Inventory Management experience to oversee material flows, storage, and usage across development and manufacturing operations.
- Candidates should possess Inventory Control skills to manage stock levels, track lot numbers and expiry, and maintain accurate inventory records within ERP or inventory systems.
- Candidates should possess Production Planning skills to align material availability with project timelines, manufacturing schedules, and clinical supply needs.
- Candidates should possess Analytical Skills to interpret inventory data, identify trends, troubleshoot discrepancies, and support data-driven process improvements.
- Experience in a GMP or regulated biopharmaceutical environment, particularly in biologics or bioconjugates, is highly beneficial.
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems, inventory management software, and standard operating procedures for materials handling is preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills are required to work effectively with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, life sciences, engineering, business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience in materials
