Job Summary:
We are seeking a Microsoft Azure Webservices Sr professional to ensure the smooth operation, performance, and reliability of cloud-based systems. This role focuses on managing Azure environments, supporting large-scale cloud operations, and implementing solutions to enhance system efficiency and scalability.
The selected candidate will work closely with network and infrastructure teams to maintain system health, resolve critical issues, and optimize cloud performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and support Azure cloud-based systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Coordinate with network administrators and cross-functional teams to support cloud operations.
- Set up and manage administrator and service accounts, including access control and permissions.
- Maintain system documentation, including cloud infrastructure and tenant inventory.
- Monitor and tune system performance across Azure environments.
- Install and manage system-wide software and allocate storage resources efficiently.
- Respond to large-scale events involving virtual resource instantiation (e.g., VMs, storage).
- Troubleshoot and resolve critical system and software failures.
- Propose and implement solutions to improve automation, scalability, and operational efficiency.
- Develop and enhance tools, reports, and processes for monitoring system health and performance.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in cloud administration or systems engineering.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services (e.g., VMs, Storage, Virtual Networks).
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, system administration, and virtualization.
- Experience troubleshooting and resolving system performance and configuration issues.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting federal or government environments.
- Familiarity with automation tools and scripting (PowerShell, Azure CLI).
- Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics.
- Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC).
- Understanding cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks.
Certifications:
IAT Level II (Required)
One or more cloud certifications (Azure preferred)
