Role Description This is an on-site LV II NDE Technician role based in Columbia, SC. The LV II NDE Technician is responsible for performing non-destructive examinations (NDE) in accordance with applicable codes, procedures, and customer requirements, including proper set-up, calibration, and operation of NDE equipment. Daily tasks include interpreting indications, documenting results, preparing inspection reports, and communicating findings to supervision, quality personnel, and clients. The role involves working in industrial environments such as refineries, power plants, and fabrication facilities, following all safety protocols and maintaining equipment in good working condition. The technician will collaborate with other team members, support Level III personnel, and assist in job planning and coordination to meet project schedules and quality objectives.
Qualifications

• Demonstrated proficiency in NDE methods such as eddy current and related inspection techniques, with current or recent Level II certifications preferred.
• Experience with corrosion assessment and monitoring in industrial environments, including pipelines, tanks, and process equipment.
• Background in refineries or similar heavy industrial facilities, with an understanding of typical process equipment and safety requirements.
• Skills in welding inspection, including evaluating weld quality, identifying discontinuities, and working with welding procedures and codes.
• Quality assurance mindset with the ability to follow written procedures, maintain accurate records, and support compliance with industry standards.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training or certifications in NDE/NDT, API, or related disciplines are a plus.
• Ability to work in field and plant environments, including climbing, lifting equipment as needed, and working in varying weather and confined spaces, in accordance with safety guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail, clear written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
