Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Fiber Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience installing, maintaining, and repairing cable systems. This role requires someone who is comfortable working both independently and collaboratively, with strong work ethic and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Install fiber optic cabling systems within residential homes
- Connect homes to the broader network infrastructure for high-speed internet service
- Run and secure fiber optic cable inside walls, attics, and crawl spaces as needed
- Set up and configure necessary equipment such as Optical Network Terminals (ONTs), routers, and modems
- Perform fiber splicing, testing, and signal verification to ensure proper functionality
- Ensure strong, stable connections throughout the residence for optimal internet performance
- Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity issues efficiently and professionally
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment during and after installation
- Educate customers on system operation and answer basic service-related questions
- Document installation details and update service records accurately
Requirements:
- Valid Drivers License
- White vehicle or willing to obtain one capable of holding a ladder
- Ability to use hand tools/ lift and climb 28ft ladder
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must pass background and Drug Screen
- At least 18 years old
