Weanticipate the need for one or more MaterialHandler(s) to be locatedat our La CrosseService Center in La Crosse, WI. Thestarting rate of pay for the firststep in the graduate wagescale (1st Six Months) forthis position is $28.91 per hour. The Company may hireat a higherstep depending on qualifications.
This position will be posted for 15 business days from May 18, 2026, to June 8, 2026.
Summary
This position is responsible for leadingand performingall dutiesand the daily operationalactivities of the MaterialOperations & Planning. This position requires thesafe operation of forkliftsand other material handling equipment. Ahighawareness ofsafetyand compliance with companysafety rules is requiredatall times. Serveas the day-to-dayinterface with local operational customers. Duties include material ordering from Alliancesuppliersand from otherinternalstoreroomsas necessary. Receivingactivities which include unloadand loading of trucksand receipt of materialsbothstockand non-stock. Putawayactivities, order filling, physically fillandstage orders for field construction crews.Process material returns/credits from the field. Keep workarea cleaned upas necessary. Provide excellent customerservice for local managementand field employees. Participate inallsafetyand training programs.
Requirements
High school graduate or equivalent
Must be committed to working safely and compliance with all company safety rules
Physical demands are heavy at times, must be able to lift and maneuver up to 70 pounds
Must reside within 20-mile radius of assigned service center
Requires participation in after-hour emergency callouts in all kinds of weather conditions
Forklift experience or certification
Must meet driver qualification requirements as specified in FMCSR parts 382 and 391 and obtain a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A within the first 6 months of hire
CDL holders are subject to D.O.T. random drug and alcohol testing program
Basic computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office products
Preferred
Additional training or experience in Materials Management or similar work experience
Bar Code data collection experience
Electric & Gas industry knowledge
SAP experience/knowledge
Adaptability to multiple computer systems and programs
Demonstrated ability to work independently
Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships in a team oriented environment
