Xcel Energy is conducting EEI POSS C / MASS testing for candidates interested in positions at our Monticello Nuclear Plant in Monticello, MN. By passing the POSS/ MASS exam at the Nuclear level, candidates will have completed an important step in the application process for multiple positions and this will expedite your application when future vacancies arise. Please note that no hires will be made directly on this requisition, but this can assist in your ability to be considered on future requisitions.

Qualifications:

• Must have sufficient technical or scientific background that would, in the Company's judgment, prepare an individual for NRC license training and must have one of the following: 
  • Pursuing scientific education at the college level
  • A junior college degree in a scientific field
  • Previous nuclear operations experience or equivalent
  • Two-year certificate from a vocational-technical institute in a scientific, mathematic, mechanical or electrical field and or an accounting education
  • Applicable Military training and experience

Special Requirements

• Must meet Nuclear Regulatory Commission requirements
• Must pass the EEI POSS/MASS exam (at the Nuclear level), or be grandfathered
• Required to actively participate in training and retraining programs established for this position
• Required to function under written plant operating and maintenance procedures as appropriate, and document records as required by management

EEI POSS/MASS Testing Session will be within a two-week window of your invitation. (Must be invited to attend).

**Note:  Applicants must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or G.E.D. to apply for jobs and take the required pre-hire assessments.**

Bargaining

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $27.48 per hour
