Job Description Summary Our client is seeking a qualified and experienced HRSG Field Engineer to support HRSG installation and commissioning activities on a power plant project in PA.
The role is responsible for the execution of HRSG installation and commissioning works within the assigned discipline, ensuring full compliance with safety, quality, schedule, and budget requirements.

Job Description Summary Our client is seeking a qualified and experienced HRSG Field Engineer to support HRSG installation and commissioning activities on a power plant project in PA.
The role is responsible for the execution of HRSG installation and commissioning works within the assigned discipline, ensuring full compliance with safety, quality, schedule, and budget requirements.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Supervise positioning of templates and embedded pieces prior to concrete pour
- Review heavy lift plans for HRSG modules and drums
- Supervise assembly of main and secondary steel structures, including access platforms
- Supervise installation of HRSG casing panels and field-insulated joints to prevent hot spots
- Supervise installation of HRSG modules and drums
- Supervise HRSG piping installation, including valve and instrument positioning, welding, NDT, heat treatment, hydro testing, and preservation
- Prepare hydro test plans and supervise execution
- Prepare and supervise piping flushing, chemical cleaning, and air or steam blows to meet cleanliness requirements
- Supervise safety valve hydro plug removal
- Perform final HRSG audits prior to gas turbine first fire
- Supervise piping thermal insulation works
- Supervise paint application activities
- Provide technical recommendations on installation techniques, tools, and resource requirements
- Interface with the HRSG vendor’s engineering office
- Participate in site coordination meetings and schedule/progress reviews
- Ensure full compliance with site-specific rules, safety regulations, and environmental protection measures
- Ensure subcontractors comply with site EHS requirements within the discipline scope
- Document non-conformities, maintain logs, and track cost of non-quality
- Issue regular progress reports to Site Management
- Significant technical knowledge of HRSG systems
- Strong technical understanding of gas-fired power plants and associated equipment
- Minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience in a similar role, preferably within the power industry
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities
- Proven problem-solving and analytical skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects and teams
- Ability to document, plan, and execute complex programs
