Position Overview

The Duct Cleaning Helper supports our IAQ Experts in cleaning and restoring duct systems for both residential and commercial clients. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role that builds technical and professional skills from day one. You’ll learn how to safely and effectively clean, restore, and seal air duct systems using NADCA-compliant methods — while gaining the foundation to move up within the department.

Daily Responsibilities

• Assist IAQ Experts with setup, containment, and teardown at residential and commercial job sites.

• Operate and maintain negative air machines, whips, skipper balls, HEPA vacuums, and other industry tools.

• Clean duct interiors to remove debris, particulates, and microbial buildup.

• Support duct encapsulation and sealing to ensure long-term system performance.

• Keep tools, trailers, and vehicles organized and clean to maintain the Xcalibur standard.

• Follow all safety and PPE requirements on every job.

• Work as part of a team to complete projects efficiently and professionally.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills

• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in attics, crawlspaces, and mechanical spaces

• Respectful, team-minded, and professional attitude

• Reliable transportation and good attendance

• HVAC or construction background is a plus (not required)

• Must be available for occasional Saturday or commercial travel jobs
