POSITION TITLE: Maintenance Employee
JOB CLASSIFICATION: Part-time/Summer
DEPARTMENT: Facilities
REPORTS TO: Facilities Supervisor/Principal
SUMMARY OVERVIEW: The position requires a person that has a good attitude and flexible work schedule to keep St. John Bosco Catholic School and grounds and facilities clean and operating safely, effectively and effciently to serve the needs of the school community. 20 hours per week.
Essential Functions
Primary duties and responsibilities include:Perform custodial tasks along with other members of the maintenance staff, including:
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/REQUIRED: Knowledge of procedures, practices, tools and equipment used in janitorial and handyman environment.
Possess ability to: Move, load and unload equipment and supplies weighing 35 pounds and heavier. Work independently with little direct supervision. Walk around campus; bend, stoop, squat and reach; climb ladders. Use judgment related to emergency and safety matters.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Indoor and outdoor environment
EQUIPMENT USED: Basic computer equipment, landscape equipment, paint materials, tools, etc.

- bathroom cleaning, restocking supplies; school campus and parking lot trash pickup. Emptying of trash containers. Sweeping, mopping and cleaning of all floors.
- General cleanup and vacuum of School Office buildings, emptying trash containers, cleaning restrooms, vacuuming carpeted areas, mopping, cleaning and dusting counters, window sills, doors and windows.
- Perform other work-related tasks as deemed necessary by supervisor.
- Catholic in good standing.
