After School Care - St Matthew Early Childhood Center

St Matthew Early Learning Center is a dedicated and nurturing child care center committed to providing a safe, engaging, and educational environment for children. We are currently seeking passionate, responsible, and caring individuals to join our team and help make a positive impact in the lives of the children we serve.

Position Overview:
As a After School Care provider, you will be responsible for supporting the social, emotional, and developmental needs of children in our care. You will work closely with a team of educators to create a safe and stimulating environment for children to learn, play, and grow.

Hours are from 3pm to 6pm

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and care for children in a group setting.
• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities to promote learning and development.
• Ensure children’s safety and well-being at all times.
• Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff.
• Assist with meal times, nap routines, and other daily activities.
• Maintain a clean and organized environment.
• Communicate regularly with parents about their child’s progress and behavior.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in child care or a related field (preferred).
• High school diploma or equivalent; early childhood education coursework or degree is a plus.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A caring, patient, and energetic attitude.
• Ability to work as part of a team and follow direction.
