Job Summary:
The Night Auditor is responsible for daily balancing of room charges and credit cards with both the OPERA & Simphony POS systems. Also, ensures a high-level of guest service by greeting and registering guests, checking out guests, taking reservations, ensuring billing accuracy, and answering/directing phone calls. This position works overnight shifts.
Start Dates: As soon as possible on next available check in date (approximately three weeks)
The Details:
Position Type: Full-Time, Year-Round
Pay: $18.05/hr
Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 nights per week (will include weekends, and holidays)

Responsibilities:
- Reconcile and verify that all charges and credits balance with the OPERA property management system and Simphony POS system.
- Compile information for the daily report and complete as directed, taking responsibility for accuracy.
- Audit reservations to ensure proper market segmentation coding, guest billing, guest information and rates.
- Understand and be prepared to follow all hotel emergency and safety procedures.
- Receive all guests and other visitors in a positive, friendly, and professional manner.
- Manage and resolve all guest complaints, compliments and requests in a professional, timely and courteous manner.
- Maintain a high level of professional appearance and demeanor.
- Provide ongoing communication to Assistant Front Office Manager, Front Office Manager, Rooms Director, and specified accounting personnel regarding guest issues, recovery actions, and procedural opportunities.
- Answer phones in a professional, prompt, and courteous manner.
- Keep an accurate bank while receiving cash and giving change per cash handling policies.
- Take reservations as needed, with a focus on maximizing occupancy and ADR by utilizing a flexible rate structure.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Strong mathematical skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Must adhere to grooming standards.
- Experience with OPERA and Simphony preferred but not required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Night Audit and/or front office experience preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements include:
- Ability to work seated or standing for up to 8 hours per shift.
- Be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures.
