Job Summary:
Responsible for managing the production and presentation of cold foods and desserts, overseeing a team of kitchen staff while ensuring high standards of quality and sanitation.
The Details:
Position Type: Seasonal
Season Dates: May through October 2025 (exact dates vary by location)
Pay: $18.50/hr
Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)

Responsibilities
- Production and service of cold foods and desserts.
- Development and training of 2-7 employees.
- Monitor production levels and assign tasks to Kitchen Worker.
- Communicate closely with Chef on duty.
- During peak service times, assist attendants with plating items for service.
- Monitors guest buffets and cold bars to ensure all items are available and presentable.
- Maintain and enforce established Xanterra standards of sanitation throughout pantry/salad areas of the kitchen.
- Must either have completed or will complete the ServSafe Manager training at beginning of Xanterra employment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must have a working knowledge of basic cooking practices.
- Previous supervisory experience and understanding of high volume kitchen operations.
- Being able to remain calm in a high stress environment is essential for these positions.
- Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced, high stress environment.
Physical Requirements include:
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time, approximately 8 hours.
- Must be able to walk for long periods of time.
- Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds.
- Must be able to bend, stretch, and reach for extended periods of time.
