Prepare baked items for the dining rooms and special functions.
The Details:
Postion Type: Full-Time, Year-Round
Pay: $18.90 per hour
Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days/per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)

Constantly: Stand, walk, handle, reach outward, bend, lift/carry up to 20lbs, push/pull up to 25lbs.
Frequently: Reach above the shoulder, squat/kneel, lift/carry up to 50lbs, push/pull up to 40lbs.
Occasionally: Sit, climb, crawl, lift/carry up to 100lbs, push/pull up to 100lbs.

- Bake bread, pastries, pies, desserts and confections as directed by the Pastry Chef.
- Ensure that recipes are followed for all baked goods meeting all quality control standards.
- Ensure that portion control is maintained for baked items ensuring uniformity.
- Assist pastry chef in tracking leftover baked goods and adjusting productivity as necessary.
- Maintain strict adherence to ServeSafe HACCP food sanitation standards.
- Complete daily side work duties in the set-up and breakdown of the bakery area.
- Strive to advance baking/pastry skills by learning from the Pastry Chef.
- Utilize proper rotation of perishable products using the first in, first out method.
- When required, assist in the plating of deserts for use by the dining room or for special events.
- Adhere to all safety, risk management and environmental policies in performing tasks.
- Maintain standards of cleanliness.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Minimum one-year baking experience or two years line cooking experience.
- Ability to accurately follow pastry/baking recipes in detail.
- Knowledge of ServeSafe HACCP food sanitation standards and the ability to understand and follow standards.
- Possess physical ability to perform tasks, including long periods of standing, lifting and bending.
- Must be available for evening shifts, weekends, and holidays.
