Patient Transporter Supervisor

We are seeking a Full-Time Patient Transporter Supervisor at Good Samaritan Medical Center for the first shift in West Palm Beach, Florida.

• Hourly Rate- $19.00 plus $2.52 per hr lead pay
• Day Shift 8:00 am- 4:30 pm
• Monday- Friday and every 4^th weekend with EVS oversight on those weekends.

The incumbent’s primary job responsibility is to assist in the supervision of an assigned hospital Environmental Services Department under the direction and guidance of the Environmental Services Department Director.  Establishing and enforcing work standards in conjunction with the Department Director, monitoring overall inventory/equipment usage, problem solving, and training of Department Staff, customer relations, and special project work as requested.  The purpose of this role is to prepare the incumbent to assume and support operational duties of a department through hands-on training under the direction of an experienced Department Director.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in all in-services for the Environmental Services Department 
• Assign personnel to established work areas or project duties.
• Conduct quality assurance checks and manage materials inventory as well as general use of equipment.
• Ensure that staff receives proper initial training in assigned areas and tasks.
• Provide individual guidance and motivation to staff to enable each one to perform to his/her fullest potential.
• Maintain an environment that is in a sanitary, attractive, and orderly condition.
• Demonstrate and promote Xanitos’ culture, values, and management philosophy.

Job Qualifications:

• Employees in Healthcare are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as a term and condition of employment at Xanitos, absent a legally required Medical or Religious exception.
• 1 years of experience in the janitorial/housekeeping industry required
• Customer service skills
• Medical cleaning a plus
• Post-Offer Medical, Background Screening and Drug Test required
• High school diploma, general education degree (GED), or equivalent required.

• Ability to plan, organiz,e prioritize, and achieve effective time management.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet goals and objectives.
• Sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines; self-directed.

Possible exposure to chemicals requiring special clothing or safety equipment.

Computer Skills:

Proficient in the use of Windows-based office software including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
