Job Description

X8 is seeking an experienced ICAM Architect / Lead to support the U.S. Secret Service (USSS) Enterprise Cybersecurity Services (ECS) program. The role supports secure enterprise identity, credential, and access management architecture, governance, and modernization. This is an anticipated position supporting a pending federal contract; employment is contingent upon contract award and funding availability.

The ideal candidate combines federal PKI experience with expertise in enterprise authentication, identity federation, access governance, and NIST digital identity standards.

What You'll Be Doing

• Assess enterprise identity stores, credentialing, authentication, and federation services.
• Document identity sources, trust relationships, integrations, and data flows.
• Design identity lifecycle, access approval, revocation, and recertification workflows.
• Support privileged access management and service-account security.
• Develop current-state and target-state ICAM architecture and migration plans.
• Support identity governance, role models, entitlements, and access controls.
• Coordinate pilot testing, deployment readiness, and transition planning.
• Brief government stakeholders on risks, progress, and recommendations.
  
  

Required Skills

WHAT REQUIRED SKILLS YOU'LL BRING

• Five (5) years of public key infrastructure (PKI) experience in the federal sector.
• Experience with NIST SP 800-63 Revision 4, including strong authenticators and federation.
• Strong knowledge of authentication technologies in enterprise IT networks.
• Experience with enterprise identity, credential, and access management systems.
• Knowledge of identity federation, access governance, and identity lifecycle processes.
• Experience documenting technical architecture and identity integration requirements.
• Familiarity with privileged access and service-account security controls.
• Ability to develop migration plans and technical recommendations.
• Strong technical writing and stakeholder communication skills.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to meet USSS suitability requirements.

CONTRACT STATUS

This anticipated role is subject to contract award, funding, final position requirements, and applicable government approvals. Final compensation depends on qualifications and approved contract funding.

Compensation

• Anticipated annual base salary: $120,000.00$220,000.00 (good-faith estimate)
• Bonus potential, subject to company policy
