Role: Senior Solutions Engineer

Salary: $170,000 - $200,000
A global fintech in NYC are looking for a Senior Solutions Engineer to join the Technical Solutions team and play a key role in driving pre-sales success. Your main responsibility will be turning client needs into elegant, workable solutions. From the first discovery call through to proof-of-concept delivery, you’ll bridge the gap between technical depth and commercial impact.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety: one day you’ll be designing architecture diagrams and running demos, the next you’ll be troubleshooting APIs or presenting to a C-suite audience.
Key Responsibilities of the Senior Solutions Engineer:
- Partner with Sales: Collaborate with Account Executives throughout the sales cycle to design tailored technical solutions that meet client goals.
- Engage with Clients: Lead discovery sessions, presales, translate complex technical requirements, and guide clients through product capabilities and integration options.
- Deliver Proof of Value: Build and manage demos, UAT environments, and proof-of-concept projects that showcase real-world impact.
- Provide Technical Assurance: Conduct architecture and security reviews, address technical objections, and ensure proposed solutions meet best-practice standards.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with Product, Engineering, and Professional Services teams to ensure a seamless handover from pre-sales to delivery.
Key Requirements of the Senior Solutions Engineer:
- Pre-Sales Experience: At least 5 years in a client-facing technical role such as Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, or Solutions Consultant.
- Industry Knowledge: Background in fintech, banking, or identity & fraud technology, with experience supporting technically sophisticated clients.
- Technical Fluency: Comfortable working with API-driven products and reviewing code in languages like JavaScript or Python.
- Strong Communicator: Excellent presentation and storytelling skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and business stakeholders.
- Adaptable and Proactive: Enjoys problem-solving in fast-paced, ambiguous environments, and takes ownership of outcomes.
The team are offering up to $200,000 for the right person for this position, alongside a competitive benefits package.
