Project Engineer - Substation
We’re working with an established engineering organization that is expanding its team and looking for a Project Engineer II to support a growing portfolio of renewable energy and electrical infrastructure projects.
This is a great opportunity for an Electrical Engineer with 2–5 years of relevant experience who is looking to develop their technical expertise while taking on increasing responsibility across project delivery.

The Role
You’ll work alongside experienced engineering professionals on projects spanning solar and wind farms, battery energy storage systems, substations and utility interconnections.
Responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the development of engineering plans, specifications and inspection reports
- Assisting with renewable energy, substation and utility interconnection designs and construction drawings
- Working across AC/DC and low, medium and high-voltage systems
- Supporting material procurement and construction contract administration
- Providing technical direction to designers and CAD professionals
- Working with customers and vendors as required
- Supporting field activities, commissioning and relay testing
- Developing expertise in areas such as physical layout, protection and controls, SCADA or relay settings
- Supporting and mentoring junior Project Engineers
- Contributing to a strong safety culture and established engineering standards
What We’re Looking For
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering
- 3 years of applicable engineering experience.
- EIT certification required.
- PE exam passed is a plus.
- Exposure to renewable energy, substations, protection and controls.
