We are seeking a Senior EMC & RF Test Engineer to join our client in San Jose, CA. In this role, you'll lead testing for next-generation consumer and industrial electronics, ensuring world-class reliability, safety, and compliance with regulatory standards.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and execute EMC & RF compliance testing (FCC, CE, IC, RED, etc.)
- Develop test plans, procedures, and lab setups for complex wireless products
- Analyze results, identify root causes, and drive design-for-compliance improvements
- Collaborate with hardware, antenna, and compliance teams throughout product lifecycle
- Maintain and calibrate test equipment, ensuring ISO 17025 quality standards
- Serve as a technical mentor to junior engineers and technicians
- Interface with external labs and regulatory bodies as required
What You Bring
- 7 years of EMC/RF test experience in a product development or accredited lab setting
- Deep knowledge of EMC standards (CISPR, EN, ANSI, ETSI) and wireless standards (BLE, Wi-Fi, cellular, GNSS, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with spectrum analyzers, signal generators, chambers, antennas
- Strong capability in debugging, root-cause analysis, and documentation
- Excellent communication and cross-functional partnership skills
- B.S. or higher in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
Salary : $150,000 - $175,000
