Senior Cellular, LTE, 5G, PLTE Engineer
Job Summary:
X2nsat seeks a highly experienced and skilled Senior Cellular, LTE, 5G, PLTE Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess expert-level knowledge of cellular technologies and have a proven track record in RAN design, antenna placement, field installation, UE testing, and SIM management. With a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, this individual will play a critical role in developing and deploying advanced cellular solutions.
Unlike Teir-1 carrier applications, X2nSat is focused on Private Cellular Networks. We are building networks for our clients in both urban and Rural environments, each with its unique challenges. Our unique ability to integrate satellite backhaul enables us to create high-performance 5G networks anywhere the Client wants.
Each network may have a different architecture, and a wide variety of technologies will be utilized for the Core and RAN. Experience with Druid Software Core and Moso Networks RAN is a bonus, but not a requirement.
Although this role will require a fair amount of travel, it is an in-person role in Petaluma, California.

Responsibilities:
- Design and optimize Radio Access Networks (RAN) for LTE, 5G, and PLTE technologies.
- Plan and execute antenna placement strategies for optimal network coverage and performance.
- Conducted field installation work and troubleshoot technical issues on-site.
- Perform User Equipment (UE) testing and analyze results to ensure network quality.
- Manage SIM cards and subscriptions, including activation, deactivation, and troubleshooting.
- Provide expert-level support for cellular-related issues and inquiries.
- Stay updated with the latest industry standards and technological advancements in cellular technology.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 6 years of experience in cellular, LTE, 5G, and PLTE technologies.
- Expert-level understanding of cellular network architecture and protocols.
- Proven experience in RAN design, antenna placement, field installation, UE testing, and SIM management.
- Formal certifications in relevant knowledge areas (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, Network ).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
