X-wave Innovations, Inc. is a leading Research and Development (R&D) firm located in Gaithersburg, Maryland. We conduct state-of-the-art research and product development in the fast-evolving areas of Sensor Technologies, Ultrasound, Nondestructive Testing (NDT)/Structural Health Monitoring (SHM), Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML), and Advanced Materials Processing. We are looking for a highly self-motivated R&D Engineer with strong interest and track record in Electromagnetic (EM) sensor and system to join our team. US citizen or Permanent Resident is preferred.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. or M.S. with 5 years of hands-on experience in EM sensor system design and development.
- Deep understanding of electromagnetic wave propagation, antenna design, and radar theory.
- Proficiency in Python, and COMSOL simulation tools.
- Proven track record transmitter/receiver circuitry design and prototype system development.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent work ethics and writing/oral communication skills.
Job Duties
- Conduct R&D in EM sensing from concepts.
- Develop sensor systems through modeling, simulation, prototyping, and testing.
- Presenting R&D results to clients and collaborators.
- Write research technical reports and proposals.
Education
Ph.D. or M.S. in EE, ME, Physics, or related field
