Opportunity: Seeking Exceptional Pilates Instructor for Group & Private Reformer Instruction
XTP is seeking a personable, professional, reliable, Certified Pilates Instructor to join our part-time team in La Canada, CA for two teaching shifts on Tuesday at 8:30 and 9:30am and Saturday mornings at 9, 10 and 11am, with an option to add Private availability.
ABOUT XTP: Founded in 2011 and has been serving the La Canada Community with the most potent style of Pilates and deeply rooted in our community. Janine, owner and lead teacher, has been in the Yoga and Pilates industry since 2011 with a mission to help people heal chronic pain cycles. She has led retreats, workshops, and training all over the world and has a passion for seeing bodies and being hands on with students.
We have a regular, steady stream of new clients each month that come from our marketing efforts as well as referrals from doctors, physical therapists and wellness practitioners (in addition to our happy members)
XTP serves our clients by offering the most potent styles of Pilates, and specializes in helping our people heal chronic pain and injuries so that they can live their lives with joy and feel ready to serve their purpose in this life.
Our in-person studio is currently focused on small group reformer classes of up to 10 students and private sessions.

Key duties and responsibilities include:
- Greet students with confidence, warmth and eye-contact so as to make students feel seen and welcomed
- Check in with students about injuries before instructing movement and adapt/offer modifications as needed
- Use the provided consent chips and/or ask verbally for consent before delivering any hands-on assists
- Teach a safe and intelligent sequence complete with warm-up, core work, hot part, apex poses or moves, and warm/cool down, with options to down-level and up-level
- Cue students on how to clean up after themselves so you can leave your teaching room neat and tidy
- Attend and participate in regular staff meetings and in-services, or watch recordings so you can stay up-to-date on studio protocols and policies
- Request subs in a timely manner so we can ensure all our private clients and class students can be served properly
- Direct students to the front desk for any admin, payment or scheduling tasks
Compensation and benefits:
- Competitive teacher pay ranging from $40-60/hour, depending on years of experience
