How You Will Make 10x Impact

• Collaborate with X Projects to create novel micro and nano scale prototypes.
• Gain a deep understanding of two-photon polymerization.
• Investigate new Moonshot applications using two-photon polymerization.
• Prepare, print, and post process Nanoscribe jobs.
• Validate prints and iterate to improve them.
• Develop new lab processes and documentation.
  
  

This project aims to push the limits of science and modeling as we know them and to prove how ML can radically accelerate our understanding of the world

• Location: X's headquarters in Mountain View, CA
• Start Date(s): Year-round rolling basis
• Duration: a flexible 4 mo. to 1 year program based on project team needs and your availability

What You Should Have

• Currently enrolled in a PhD program in a STEM field such as Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Optics or Physics, with a strong interest in micro/nano fabrication.
• Experience with a Nanoscribe Photonic Professional GT, GT2, or Quantum X Shape system.
• Experience with general lab equipment.
• Ability to work in a small team / rapid prototyping environment.
  
  

It’d Be Great If You Also Had These

• Experience with optics, photonics, or semiconductor lithography.
• Experience with metrology using SEM, confocal microscope, or optical profiler.
• Experience with industrial SLA or DLP 3D printers.
• Experience with lasers.

The US base salary range for this position is $109,000 - $150,000 benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
